Life Lately

This past week we...

...Took care of this sweet little peanut who was sick. She is SUCH a little trooper but her fever did reach 104.9 and gave us a good scare. She seems to be on the mend now THANK GOD.

SO many extra snuggles with this sweet little lady last week

...Did a fun cookie decorating kit! The theme was zoo animals and both kids loved it- I think Charlie could have done this for hours!

"Mixing" the icing- these two loved doing this sweet little cookie decorating kit

Hard at work decorating the tiger

Rawr!!! The finished product.

...Went to the Philly Auto Show. This was a "boys' trip" so just Daddy and Charlie went- Charlie loved all of the cool cars. They took the train downtown which was a major highlight for Charlie. (Sidenote for my fellow parents / grandparents: I noticed when they got home that Char had a neon wristband with Tim's name and cell # on it- but not Charlie's name. He said they they were putting them on the little ones upon arrival. What a GREAT idea, right?! I may order some blank ones from Amazon or something for future public outings because, let's face it, I can be an overly anxious Mama. It was bright neon with Dad's contact info written with a sharpie.)

He looks so big here!

Always a fan of the fire trucks

...Celebrated Valentine's Day with a heart-shaped pizza. YUM!

This was soooo delish

...Got our teeth cleaned at the dentist. Charlie looooves going and is always SO good during his dental checkup/cleaning.

This guy loves a good dental cleaning. Gah!!! He is SO sweet

...Snuggled a lot! It was super cold outside a lot last week so we were cozy and snuggled up inside a lot more than usual. This was right before Maddie's bedtime and about three minutes after she had gone to bed, Charlie goes, "I miss Maddie. Her a good sister." Cue heart explosion!

Sibling LOVE

The best of friends. Their relationship is so special...

...and silly!! What's a pre-bedtime photo-shoot without some silly faces!?

...Got groceries and, of course, it was a group effort. Maddie was feeling better and came along. The kids saw their friend Marty the robot who "works" at the grocery store.

All dolled up and ready to shop

Hi Marty! And Hi Miss Janine! The sweetest ladies ever work at our local Giant

...Gave our doggie plenty of love in the form of treats. Both kiddos love Ellie so much and there's no shortage of treats with Charles in charge ;)

Ellie - Sit!

Good girl :)

Sending lots of love to our pals! Hope y'all are happy, healthy, and having fun. ♥

Halloween 2k19

All of the sudden it's mid-November and I find myself wondering where the heck the last few weeks have gone! I didn't want any more time to go by before documenting our 2019 Halloween Fun.
During the entire week leading up to Halloween, the weather forecast was calling for it to be a total wash with rain so we had mentally prepared for the possibility of that happening. It was a very welcome and very pleasant surprise when Halloween evening turned out to be super warm and dry - the rain luckily held out until late that night.

Charlie had his heart set on being a pirate; He was given a hand-me-down pirate costume from a cool big-boy friend that he adores and he just loves it. We had planned on Maddie coordinating in a TinkerBelle costume but girlfriend had her heart set on being Elsa from Frozen, so Elsa she was.

Thirsty Elsa with her Princess sippy cup, of course

Halloween was on a Thursday so Charlie had school that day. I am a 'Room Mom' for his class so luckily I got to partake in the fun and go do the parade and class party with him. It was so cute and I loved getting to see him in his element with his school buddies. The kiddos were adorable and had fun marching around the gym and school in their costumes.

The other Room Mom made this fruit/veggie tray- how cute is this?!

Playing games at the class party - so fun!

Later that night (6pm) I took both kiddos to our immediate neighbors' houses while Tim manned the door waiting for trick-or-treaters. We have the sweetest neighbors on our little block so we made sure to hit them first. After those few houses, Maddie was done ;)  Haha . That was plenty for her and she just wanted to be held, go home, and dance around in her Elsa costume.

Heading out!

Going to our next door neighbors' house - they are so sweet and the Snee kiddos love their baby

Trick or Treat!

Elsa demanded to be carried....oh to be Queen!

Knock Knock!

Miss Lee across the street- we sure do love her!

Sis and I went home while Tim swapped out with me and took Charlie for some serious big-kid trick-or-treating. They were gone for well over an hour and came back with tons of candy. Our town police were out that night in full force having fun with the kids, giving them glowsticks, candy, etc., so that was a highlight for Char, too.

Sis hanging out eating her candy - Reese's are her fav

Um Mommy....Can you clean my hands?! #chocolate

Counting his candy - what a haul!

Pick a few to eat - not too many ;)

At ages two and four, it's safe to say Halloween was a major event in our house this year. Fun was had by all and many happy memories were made.

....So much so that Charlie has actually been role playing at the door by greeting imaginary trick-or-treaters. It is hilarious and so so cute- I hear him answer the door repeatedly and ask the imaginary kids what their costumes are as he hands them a little toy and tells them "Happy Halloween" even though it's mid-November. It is too precious- I love his little imagination!

Giving out treats to his imaginary treat-or-treaters.....so sweet
