During the entire week leading up to Halloween, the weather forecast was calling for it to be a total wash with rain so we had mentally prepared for the possibility of that happening. It was a very welcome and very pleasant surprise when Halloween evening turned out to be super warm and dry - the rain luckily held out until late that night.
Charlie had his heart set on being a pirate; He was given a hand-me-down pirate costume from a cool big-boy friend that he adores and he just loves it. We had planned on Maddie coordinating in a TinkerBelle costume but girlfriend had her heart set on being Elsa from Frozen, so Elsa she was.

Thirsty Elsa with her Princess sippy cup, of course
Halloween was on a Thursday so Charlie had school that day. I am a 'Room Mom' for his class so luckily I got to partake in the fun and go do the parade and class party with him. It was so cute and I loved getting to see him in his element with his school buddies. The kiddos were adorable and had fun marching around the gym and school in their costumes.

The other Room Mom made this fruit/veggie tray- how cute is this?!
Playing games at the class party - so fun!
Later that night (6pm) I took both kiddos to our immediate neighbors' houses while Tim manned the door waiting for trick-or-treaters. We have the sweetest neighbors on our little block so we made sure to hit them first. After those few houses, Maddie was done ;) Haha . That was plenty for her and she just wanted to be held, go home, and dance around in her Elsa costume.
Heading out!
Going to our next door neighbors' house - they are so sweet and the Snee kiddos love their baby
Trick or Treat!
Elsa demanded to be carried....oh to be Queen!
Knock Knock!
Miss Lee across the street- we sure do love her!
Sis and I went home while Tim swapped out with me and took Charlie for some serious big-kid trick-or-treating. They were gone for well over an hour and came back with tons of candy. Our town police were out that night in full force having fun with the kids, giving them glowsticks, candy, etc., so that was a highlight for Char, too.

Um Mommy....Can you clean my hands?! #chocolate
Counting his candy - what a haul!
Pick a few to eat - not too many ;)

At ages two and four, it's safe to say Halloween was a major event in our house this year. Fun was had by all and many happy memories were made.
....So much so that Charlie has actually been role playing at the door by greeting imaginary trick-or-treaters. It is hilarious and so so cute- I hear him answer the door repeatedly and ask the imaginary kids what their costumes are as he hands them a little toy and tells them "Happy Halloween" even though it's mid-November. It is too precious- I love his little imagination!
Giving out treats to his imaginary treat-or-treaters.....so sweet
So much energy in your house! What a fabulous Halloween everyone had. Making wonderful memories if the best! ❤️
