Our Weekend

This past weekend we were blessed with gorgeous Spring weather here in Pennsylvania which was a huge treat!

On Saturday, Tim took Charlie to his weekly swim lesson while Maddie and I ran a few errands around town.  Our life right now has been a lot of "divide and conquer" where we each take one kiddo and go off and get things done, linking up later for some family fun.

Once we were all home, we spent Saturday afternoon outside in the backyard. The kids played with chalk, Charlie rode his bike, and Maddie was happy hanging out on her little treehouse/slide.  Mom and Dad got some yardwork done while the kids played; we were able to clean up all of the random sticks and branches, clear out the flower beds getting them ready to be mulched, and prep an area for growing some veggies this summer. We are having some construction done on our house in the coming weeks so I am happy to have the yard cleaned up and ready for us to hang out there on nice days.

On Sunday, the boys went to their first Phillies game of the season. They sat near their new favorite player, Bryce Harper, and were happy to get to see the Phil's get a 'W'. Charlie always looks forward to seeing the Philly Phanatic....from afar :)

While the boys were at the game, Maddie and I went grocery shopping for the weekly haul. When some music came on, I started dancing in the aisle and she told me "Stop. Stop. No, Mom. Stop." Who knew Mom was so uncool?! After grocery shopping, we took a long walk around the 'hood. Maddie enjoyed some carrots on our stroll and the fresh air felt amazing.

It was a perfect mix of "getting stuff done" and having fun, which made for the perfect weekend.
