Our Weekend in Photos

It was a gorgeous, unseasonably warm weekend around here and we had a super nice balance of relaxation and FUN!

Warm weather in January- YASSSSSS!

Party girl is well-accessorized and ready to go!

Charlie had been begging to go to a lacrosse game all week, so on Friday night he and Tim did a 'boys trip' to the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse game. Madeline and Mommy stayed at home and sweet sissy missed her brother bestie so much. She had fun playing with her babies but would stop and ask for her 'Char Char' here and there. After she went to bed, I had some rare quiet time to myself and did some Yoga with Adriene (I HIGHLY recommend her YouTube yoga "classes" - she is awesome!) and it was a perfect Friday night for all:

This guy LOVES his sports (just like Daddy!)

On Saturday morning, the kiddos went to an awesome birthday party at Build-a-Bear for one of their best pals. They had a wonderful time; Charlie made a Batman bear and Maddie made a (surprise!) Frozen Elsa Bear. Happy Birthday, Alahni! We had such an amazing time celebrating your birthday with you!

Happy Birthday to Maddie's best gal pal!!!

Charlie randomly insisted on wearing his backpack - haha

Maddie was SO pleased with her creation

Pink cupcake frosting = lipstick (and don't try telling her otherwise!)

After the party, Miss Maddie went home for a nice long nap (full disclosure: Mama took a nap, too) while Daddy took Charlie to swimming. He's made so much progress and loves to swim- His goal is to be on the swim team someday like his big kid buddies.

Backstroke in progress!

His favorite part of class - the jumps!

After swimming, Charlie came home and passed OUT after his busy morning.

All that swimming will tire a dude out!

Since the weather was insanely gorgeous, we went to the park after both kids woke up from naps and got some fresh air and, of course, some scooter rides. What a perfect Saturday!

Sunday was a lazier day for us- we did our big weekly grocery shopping trip in the morning and played around the house. When Maddie went down for her nap, Dad went for a trail bike ride and Mom and Charlie hung out around the house. I was folding laundry and turned my back for a quick minute and this happened:

Sweet Ellie is a SAINT; Goldendoodles are seriously the BEST dogs for kids- Ellie loves her human sibs

Once Maddie was up from her nap, the mini BFF played together all afternoon, dressing up as Elsa and a Pirate, then ending the day eating soup together (they are recently obsessed with soup).

Always in costume these two

Chicken noodle soup supper for these baby besties

And, of course, a bounce in their bounce house

We made a Sunday supper of homemade au gratin potatoes (yum), asparagus, and Tim grilled a bunch of chicken breasts we had been marinating all day. It ended up being a "romantic" dinner for two since the kids ate soup instead ;)

These. Are. SO. Insanely. Good.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your weeks are off to a great start so far ♥ XOXO
