It was an extra-long weekend for us for the Fourth of July holiday. We stayed close to home and had a good balance of rest-n-relaxation and 'getting stuff done' around the house. We didn't end up seeing fireworks because those were past the kids' bedtime, but still managed to sneak in plenty of fun and made some nice memories, too! Here are some snapshots from our weekend:
Morning snacks - these little BFFs love to share a chair
Charlie and Mommy made chocolate Reese's cookies - they were delish!
A barefoot walk around the 'hood - with snacks, of course!
Maddie had her 2 year checkup on Friday- this petite angel is 23 lbs and a healthy, growing girl!
After naps on Friday we played out back with the water table - one of our favorite summer toys
...and had a cone or two :) It is summer, after all!
Then we found a froggy! The kids are both animal-obsessed so this made them so happy
Dad power washed the siding and the porch - the house is looking so fresh and so clean now!
Char Char got his nap mat for preschool and was so excited to try it....
...and he even fell asleep in it!
