At the Patch

Yesterday, our little fam took our annual trip to the local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. Charlie loves (this is a massive understatement) pumpkins and farms / farm animals, so he had been begging to go all week. There are some really cute local farms that do hayrides and fall activities, and one in particular is our absolute favorite. The people who own and run this farm are the nicest family and have a gorgeous farm with tons of animals and activities for kids- we even had Charlie's birthday party there last year.

We went right when they opened at 10:00 am to avoid crowds (and be home in time for Maddie's lunchtime nap) and that worked out well. We walked around and visited the animals a bit before getting onto the hayride that takes you out to the actual pumpkin patch. Once we got out there, the kiddos worked hard to find the perfect pumpkins. We even got some farm fresh zucchini to make muffins and dinners with this week! Yum.

It was a successful weekend outing to the farm and lots of fun was had by all; so much so that the entire house was asleep for hours-long naps after lunch ;)

SO happy to visit the farm for some Fall Fun

Checking out the animals...

Hi Piggies!

"Look Mom! Piggy sleeping!" she shouted so loud it woke them up

Visiting animal friends (from a safe distance- hehe)

This farm is SO fun- lots to explore (and climb on...)

Ready, set, go! Off to find the perfect pumpkins

"Maddie, let's look over here!"

"This one's heavy!"

Pumpkin Patch Diva

The fam- rare to get a pic of all four of us!

Charlie on the hayride- he could have done this all day

So long, pumpkin patch! We will be back next year!

Later on we made some pumpkin muffins with the zucchini we got at the farm- delish!!
